Assistance of our Service Manager concerning handling of spare part and service sales both at home and abroad.
Job description:
- Handling of spare parts and service orders
- Customer service worldwide
- Processing of requests, from preparing the offer till delivery to the customer.
Qualification:
- Preferably you are a technician with commercial capabilities and maritime background or a clerk with technical background.
- Very good command in spoken and written English.
- You have got the ability to work in a team.
- Experiences in shipbuilding, construction of plants or machines, steel or in technical sales would be an advantage.

Sales Engineer – Service Division
Reporting to the Sales Manager and under your own initiative you will be responsible for promoting and growing Schat-Harding’s After Sales & Service Activities in Mainland China. In your role you will be regularly meeting clients to introduce and actively sell our range of After Sales services, solutions, products and Fleet Service Agreements. You will also create quotations for upgrades, refurbishment, mandatory services and spare parts. In your role you will also be expected to supply technical recommendations to our clients and to build long term relations between Umoe Schat-Harding and our customers.
Qualifications
- Substantiated technical education or equivalent experience
- Proven sales ability
- Experience from within either manufacturing or servicing of Lifesaving Appliances or Shipbuilding/Repair industries would be an advantage.
- Very good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin (Cantonese would also be an advantage)
- Very good computer skills especially in relation to Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to reach targets and deadlines sometimes under pressure
- Ability to travel regularly throughout China
