Geir Arne Veglo is appointed as acting CEO of Umoe Schat Harding Equipment

Ole Meijer has accepted a new job as CEO for Norsk Mineral in Molde Norway and has therefore informed the company’s board of directors that he would like to withdraw as CEO of Umoe Schat Harding Equipment AS.  He has led the company through a demanding turn around, where the company today is well positioned for the Norwegian offshore market and has full order books.  Introduction of the new free fall boat - FF1200 – underlines the position as the world leading provider of life saving systems – hence “Improving safety at sea”.  The board of directors is grateful for Ole Meijer’s achievements, and wishes him all the best for the future.

The company enters into a new commercial phase, and has constituted Geir Arne Veglo as new CEO for Umoe Schat Harding Equipment AS, starting from 23 January 2011.

Geir Arne Veglo currently operates as director of Umoe maritime business development activities, and has been board member of Umoe Schat Harding Group AS since 2010.  Veglo has extensive management experience from various top management positions within companies in different industries, including advanced composites, boat building, automotive and international offshore.
