Birger Gråthen

Birger Gråthen (born 1966) is CEO for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. He has 18 years of international business experience from the US, Asia, Europe, and Eastern Europe. Birger Gråthen has formerly worked in general management, sales, marketing and business development functions at 3M, Unitor, Wilhelmsen, Telenor and Nemko. Before this position he was a Board Member at Umoe Schat-Harding. Birger Gråthen holds a Master’s degree from Boston University in Brussels, a Bachelor’s degree from University of San Francisco and a degree in Mechanical Engineer from Kongsberg College of Engineering.
Gary W. Joseph

Gary W. Joseph

Gary W. Joseph (born 1961) serves in the capacity of Vice-President Americas’ for Umoe Schat-Harding AS Services. The Americas territory includes North America and Latin America. In addition, he is also the Managing Director of the Schat-Harding locations in the USA, Canada and Panama. Gary has worked in the LSA industry since 1983, mainly in the areas of accounting and management. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, and has been employed by Schat-Harding and related group companies for 28 years.

Andrew Lemmis

Andrew Lemmis (born 1969) is Vice President North East Asia for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. Andrew first started his career with Schat-Harding over 20 years ago in the production department of Watercraft in Gosport, UK, his hometown. A change in direction in the mid 1990’s found Andrew working in Singapore for an independent lifeboat servicing company before returning back to Schat-Harding in 2005 to head up the development of the Service Division in China. Spending the past 15 years in Asia, Andrew has garnered much cross cultural managerial experience having set up and run operations in Singapore, India, Hong Kong and China and gained extensive knowledge of the marine industry in the Asia region. Having set Schat-Harding Services as a market leader in China and setting standards that others must follow Andrew is now responsible for further developing Schat-Harding Services in the North East Asian region.
Petter Hernæs

Petter Hernæs

Petter Hernæs (born 1953) has more than 20 years of experience within the international Offshore Oil & Gas and Maritime industries. He has worked as Project Manager, Business Development Manager, HSEQ Director and Managing Director at suppliers of ship equipment, engineering services, Nutec Centre for Safety Ltd, Nutec AS(later Falck Nutec AS) and Marine Subsea AS. Petter Hernæs holds a naval engineer degree from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy.
Sonny SS Choo

Sonny SS Choo

Sonny SS Choo (born 1947), is Vice Present of South East Asia as well as Managing Director of Umoe Schat-Harding Services in Singapore. Sonny spent five years between 1976 and 1980 working in the North Sea, based out of Aberdeen, Scotland. He also served as the Marketing Director from 1986 to 1998, when he became the Managing Director of Umoe Schat-Harding Singapore.
David Bradley

David Bradley

David Bradley (born 1950) is Vice President Operations for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. Following an engineering apprenticeship with the Pye Group, he joined Schat Davits as a design engineer in 1972 and has held several positions with Schat-Davit Company and Schat Watercraft including sales, production and contracts management. He is also currently Managing Director of Schat-Harding’s UK office. David Bradley is registered with the Engineering Council as an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and is a Member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET).
David Torres

David Torres

David Torres (born 1976) is Vice President Sales for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. He brings over nine years of experience in international business within the Life Saving Appliances industry. David is a Dutch national, studied at the University of Nijmegen and Rotterdam, holds a Master and Bachelor’s degree in Management and a professional degree in Export Management. David has experience in servicing Life Saving Equipment and is certified by several major Lifeboat and Davit manufacturers as a service engineer. Throughout his career within USH, David has been responsible for a variety of activities related to USH’s vision of “Improving Safety at Sea”. Training of new service engineers and members of the group service network as well as training of The Netherlands based Classification societies, USCG and PSC officers on risks involved with life saving equipment are some of these activities. David is a requested guest speaker at several events, such as Paris MOU, IFSMA, NVKK and SASMEX on risks involved with life saving equipment as well as member of the Netherlands delegation at IMO for several years.
Jennifer Manning

Jennifer Manning

Jennifer Manning (born 1982) is the Marketing Manager for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. Jennifer is a US Citizen, who has resided in Norway for the last four years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Washington State University and has international marketing experience from Nemko AS, where she held the position of Global Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Prior to coming to Norway, Jennifer also worked for Quantum, in a sales coordinator role.
Siri Forsberg

Siri Forsberg

Siri Forsberg (born 1975) is Senior Business controller for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. Siri holds a Master’s of science of business degree from BI Norwegian Business School and has 12 years of international business experience from Norske Skog (one of the world’s largest supplier of newsprint paper and a big contributor to the magazine/directory sectors). Siri Forsberg has experience from difference finance positions; Business advisor, Senior controller Sales, Controller Global IT, Regional controller South America, Finance manager and Group Controller.
Alex

Alex Rijksen

Alex Rijksen (born 1964) is the Product Manager Hooks for Umoe Schat-Harding Services. He has 25 years experience in the Marine Industry, both Merchant and Navy. Alex Rijksen has formerly worked as an officer in the Merchant Marine and the Royal Dutch Navy. Furthermore he has worked in service, sales and marketing at MME BV and Willem Pot BV. Before this position he was the Service Manager at Willem Pot BV. Alex Rijksen holds a BEng degree from the Merchant Marine College in Delfzijl and a BSc degree from the University of Tilburg.
John Bakken

John Bakken

John Bakken (born 1965) is VP Business Development in Umoe Schat-Harding Services. John Bakken has worked at Nemko AS for the last 22 years. He has extensive international experience from Europe, Asia and North America. John started up the Nemko office in San Diego (USA) and has been responsible for implementing a new global production system (ERP) in the Nemko Group. John holds a Master of Management degree from Norwegian University of Science and Technology and is an Electronic Engineer from Gjøvik Technical College of Engineering.
